Tom Shed has been playing and writing music
since the 60's. Growing up in Florida, he has entertained audiences across the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean, Australia and New Zealand.

His songs "Ole Hickory's Town", "Florida State
of Mine" and "Just a Soft Echo" were ranked in the top ten Florida Songs.

Performing at Folk Festivals for the past 30 years, Tom brings his unique perspective of life and history to life through his songs. Tom plays guitar, banjo and mandolin and is frequently accompanied by some of Florida's finest musicians.  

In the 70's, Tom worked closely with Don Grooms, a Cherokee Native American, and produced Don's first and best album "Walk Proud My Son".

Tom has written and performed soundtracks for several PBS documentaries, including the award- winning "Archie Carr, A Naturalist in Florida."

Tuesday morning Restore Our World hosted KOTO's Boxcar MacKenzie Show for a special live broadcast celebrating the beginning of the 32nd Annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Guest musician Tom Shed from Florida stopped by to perform a couple of songs for coffee addicts and folk music fans. Tune in to KOTO all weekend to hear live music from the festival. On his recent national tour,
Tom Shed received front page coverage in Texas, September 29, 2005 in the Jacksonville Daily Progress. Tom was in town for his concert at "Roland's Next Door."
